That's why we needed to up our game and make a trail
mix with the proper ratio of dark
chocolate to trail
mix for those times when there just aren't
enough chocolaty bits to go around.
I can remember countless times being in the kitchen with my two brothers and my Mom, making a huge batch of
chocolate chip cookies, and it was always so much fun to help
mix up the batter, carefully scoop out the cookie dough on the pans, and wait anxiously until the timer went off and they were cool
enough to eat.

Chocolate Cake an immediate classic.
Meanwhile, when the
chocolate and butter mixture for the frosting is cooled
enough to be solidified (roughly 2 hours), beat it with a hand
mixer until light and fluffy.
The
chocolate icing did not thicken up
enough for me, so I added 1/4 tsp tapioca starch to 1 tsp of hot water (
mixed that first) then slowly added to the icing stirring until it started to thicken.

Mixer is also gentle
enough to stir
chocolate chips and nuts into cookie batters.
Use bittersweet baker's
chocolate and add
enough sweetener to you liking, melt the
chocolate, add the sweetener (I use raw honey),
mix and spread on a flat surface then freeze.
I had some problems getting the last tablespoon of butter to
mix in with the
chocolate, probably because I didn't give it
enough time to
mix in.
Although let's be honest, cookies are really a
mix of a snack and dessert if they're decadent
enough, and these Peanut Butter Pumpkin
Chocolate Oatmeal Cookies definitely are.
Add
enough hot
chocolate mix to get the colour and scent that you'd like — we added a lot because we had a giant container of hot
chocolate, but less would have still sufficed.

It's high in protein, wonderful peanut flavor, but much less fat than peanut butter and thin
enough to serve as a great sauce on this (I sometimes use Silk Dark
Chocolate Almond milk as my
mix in).
Stand
Mixer from Dash is powerful
enough to handle everything from pizza dough to
chocolate mousse with ease.
White
chocolate macadamia nut cookies don't get
enough love so I threw some pumpkin into the
mix and topped them with the always popular sprinkle of sea salt.
The cocoa was good, but would have been so much better if the extra
chocolate would have been
mixed into the experience in the first place, rather than given to me in an over-chocolaty clump whose saturated flavor barely lasts long
enough to feel satisfied.
