Two days gives you just
enough time to introduce your Weim to the house, family members, yard and
crate.
But if you have not
enough time to spend with your dog and then you can arrange
crate training system to get rescue form its abusive behavior.
A puppy is best kept in a small indoor
crate or pen at night until they are old
enough to hold off the need to potty for several hours at a
time.
Over a few sessions, build up the
time you are out of the house with your dog in the
crate to a couple of hours (as long as they are old
enough to hold their bladder this long.)
I do not want my dogs to be afraid and run to a
crate every
time a strange noise scares them or a visitor comes over — there are
enough neurotic dogs out there already.

crate, especially if given
enough time.
Even if you have a bad - tempered dog, a heavy duty
crate is sufficient
enough to keep them in one place for a defined
time.
If the
crate is small
enough and portable from the day -
time location, put the
crate next to your bed at night and, at night only, you can close the door at this stage: Most puppies will accept being shut in, at night, if you are right next to them.
Young puppies should be sleeping about 18 hours a day, so «
crating» a puppy for «nap
times» each day is an easy way to ensure your puppy is getting
enough sleep.
If you do work full
time however, it is important that the Foster Dog not be left in a
crate for too long a
time and that you make sure you have
enough time and energy to give the dog the attention and exercise it needs when you are home.
