real skill of MTG is found in building a deck of cards which complement each other well
enough to overcome the opposing deck and reduce your
enemy's health from twenty to zero.
The combat is very simple though, especially the third person shooting, with the only
real complication being a special combo attack once you kill
enough enemies in a row.
Trying to spot objectives or
enemies with the camera can be tricky
enough, but in multiplayer it is a
real game breaker.
The
real - time combat is straightforward
enough: clobber the side or back of an
enemy until they're dead.
Igniculus moves freely in
real - time around the battlefield, giving him the ability to collect health and magic orbs that drop from
enemies and to distract them long
enough to allow your team of fighters to get an extra hit in.
The animations of both hero and
enemy are as silky smooth as you could possibly find on a game today,
enemies stumble when shot and jump back to avoid gunfire, although, fittingly
enough, it's Nathan himself who is the
real star.
