enrolling older youth who wished to remain in foster care after the age of 18.

In the latest phase of the project, children and
older people are being
enrolled so that scientists can learn how connectivity changes as the brain waxes in
youth and wanes in
old age.
Results indicate that
youth enrolled in PR - TFC improve in functioning from entry to discharge and that, overall,
youth in PR - TFC treatment typically improve in day - to - day functioning as they age, and
youth who enter the PR - TFC homes at an
older age generally function better at discharge than younger
youth who stayed comparable amounts of time.

youth aged 12 to 19 years
