Add in all the perks
of producing at home — such as eliminating exchange rate uncertainty, lower
chances of supply chain disruptions, a more plentiful supply
of qualified labour and the synergies that develop when the R&D guys can easily chat with factory floor employees — and the overall costs
of building a new factory in the U.S. or China are roughly
equal.
