equal resources when some face substantially higher costs to educate students?

But this news story got my wheels turning: I started to wonder if anyone has ever considered somehow rejiggering the National School Lunch Program to better reflect the fact that schools are not in fact

In short, the faucet theory refers to the faucet being on
when students are in session, with all students benefitting from school
resources and making
equal academic growth during this time, and the faucet being off for all students
when school is not in session.
The author recommends we «expand» the definition of equity in the policies and
resources made available to the schools and other institutions, presumably until «
equal outcomes» are achieved, although she doesn't tell us
when we might return to a non-expansive definition of equity.

resources — probably
equal to, if not more than, what your publisher puts in.
Pros: It's much easier conceptually to see all the money as being
equal no matter where it sits, and there are lots of
