Santa Barbara Adventure Company will bring first aid, rescue and communications equipment with us on every trip and all of our guides are trained in first aid, rescue and emergency response.

The trips include snorkelling from the boat at three or four positions with a guide (not always English speaking) pointing out things you may miss (and keeping you safe) and stopping at two or three islands (we visited Pulau Cemara Kecil and Pulau Geleang on the western side); a barbecue fish lunch (with vegetarian options), fruit, drinking water and snorkelling equipment, including lifejackets are all part of the deal.

Dive trips include transfers to / from your hotel to the pier, breakfast, lunch and drinks on the boat, a full set of dive equipment and a dive guide.

We also have trailering capability if you have a lot of equipment to bring on your trip.

Included in your fully - organized South African Long Weekender surf trip are two nights of accommodation in shared dorm rooms (Friday & Saturday night) in our beach house in Arniston, all transport from the pick - up in Cape Town on Friday morning to the drop - off on Sunday evening, three surf lessons with experienced surf coaches and all surf equipment (surfboard, wetsuit & leash) during surf lessons, 2 healthy breakfasts, lunches and dinners each as well as surf photography.

The general welfare of porters - and guides, drivers, cooks and any other local personnel employed on our trips - as well as the standard of their equipment and level of pay, is very important to us and to our ground crew, who generally recruit local staff for our groups (farmers from Pisac communities in the Sacred Valley).

I did the trip with G Adventures, who were excellent, and organise it so that your camping equipment, food and a portion of your personal belongings are carried by a group of physically fit porters who accompany you on the trail, ensuring you have as light a rucksack as possible throughout the hike.

The basic surf package includes two surf lessons per day on the beach of Santa Teresa, SUP lesson in Cabo Blanco Nature Reserve, a trip to Playa Hermosa, 6 nights private accommodations, lunches and breakfast, transportation, access to surf equipment, bottled water, surf pictures, daily maid service and a trip to Montezuma Waterfall.

There are plenty of dive shops on the beachfront where you can hire equipment, and arrange a boat trip.

Besides providing a private room, it features six surf tuition in small groups, surf equipment, round trip transportation, a picnic on the beach, a tour to the famous crocodile river, canopy tours and zip lining, 2 yoga sessions, free beers very night, ladies night at a local bar, horseback riding, photography session and of course lots of surfing.

We facilitate your bush experience by providing suitable camping equipment, 4WD transport to the starting point of the walk, transport to and from Kempsey and Coffs Harbour on the Pacific Highway, healthy and tasty breakfasts and dinners, and informative trip notes ahead of the booked tour.

There are a host of boats offering snorkeling trips, and most of the hotels on the island, as well as the above dive operators, also offer snorkel trips and equipment rental.
