Calling
big -
screen legal thriller «The Lincoln Lawyer» the best TV pilot I've
seen in a while really isn't meant as a putdown — the truth is, there's more good stuff
on the tube these days than in theaters,
especially at this time of the year.
E! calls it reality TV, but recently the meta aspect of visual storytelling, which is
seen perhaps most often in the likes of EXTRAS, CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM, and pretty much any show named after the protagonist, are becoming
especially prominent
on the
big screen.
Needless to say,
seeing Chicago up
on the
big screen like that,
especially after
seeing all the stuff in the news from when they were filming it, was an awesome experience and the film remains a favorite to this day.
Earlier this week, I mentioned how I was less than stoked at the prospect of
seeing Ben Affleck back
on the
big screen,
especially when forced to go head - to - head with Russell Crowe.
Up until that point, women shooting hoops
on the
big screen was unheard of (it's been equally unexplored ever since) and it remains refreshing to
see a sports movie playing out from a woman's point of view and
especially one that refuses to indulge our more traditionalist view of the genre, focusing
on the long game rather than the easy win.
It's only playing Rez Infinite
on a PS4,
especially in VR mode but even
on a nice,
big, modern flat
screen (Rez Infinite can be played both as a normal game or in VR, your choice), that the game comes closest to what we
saw in our heads when we were creating it: vivid colors that blend seamlessly into one another, crystal - clear textures, and razor - sharp lines only possible at full 1080p HD, all swimming around you at the speed - of - life 60 frames per second (120 frames per second in PS VR), with full 3D audio (PS VR) or 7.1 surround sound (PS4) that, well, truly surrounds you.
For obvious reasons, this Steven Spielberg classic seems
especially timely in our twisted current reality, so why not
see it
on the
big screen?
Who it's for: Pretty much everybody, but
especially if you've got an iPhone, iPad or Mac, because you're able to «AirPlay» over pretty much anything you can
see on those devices
on to your
big -
screen display.
In short, the OP5t remains one of the best deals among smartphones,
especially for people looking for a
big screen and flagship specs without the $ 800 price tags you
see on a lot of other competing Android phones.
For adults who need more features and better specifications, the Fire HD 8 costs just $ 49.99 which is even cheaper than the kids edition but has a
bigger screen and is an ideal fit for multimedia consumption,
especially for users who
see a lot of Youtube videos and movies
on their tablet.
