The purpose of this communication is to provide an update on the availability of a new label for the 2015 - 2016 educator evaluation data collection as part of the current appeals window for the five most recent years of teacher
evaluation data in the Registry of Educational Personnel (REP).
Evaluation data in Georgia, also released in December, have so far been limited to 26 districts participating in the state's federal Race to the Top grant.
Increasingly, state legislatures have been working to weaken or even abolish the practice of teacher tenure, including the requirement to use teacher
evaluation data in the decision to grant tenure.
