In our practice, we have seen success and
even complete disease remission in those with autoimmune conditions such as multiple sclerosis,
eosinophilic esophagitis, systemic lupus erythematosus, and inflammatory bowel disease among others!
There are four types of skin problems cats can have as a result of allergies: hair loss without much skin changes; miliary dermatitis - which causes small pinpoint scabs, especially on the neck and over the hips and tail base;
eosinophilic granulomas - which are raised, red, hairless lesions, commonly on the lips, but can be lower on the jaw or neck, or
even on the rear legs; severe itchiness at the face or neck.
I also have EGC (
eosinophilic granuloma complex) which can cause skin inflammation in response to fleas, mites or
even airborne allergens.

Eosinophilic granuloma and one report in 2005 found a particularly high number of kittens from a specific breeder later developed EGC
even though they had completely different lifestyles and diet at their new homes.
