Sadly, it's successor, the Wii U - despite featuring a number of brilliant games — could not replicate the Wii's success, and is Nintendo's least - selling home console to date, as well as being unfairly berated on the internet (once again, it's probably a better console than the N64, or
even the GameCube, but I guess it doesn't have blinding nostalgia on its side).
I have always loved what is most of Nintendo's willingness to revisit old games, classic Nintendo 64 games, Super Nintendo, Gameboy and
even the Gamecube.
If the company understood what its fans want, the Switch's online side would offer every Nintendo game from the NES to the N64 (and maybe
even the GameCube), none of which are difficult to emulate on newer hardware, as proved by the multitude of Windows and OS X PC emulation software available with a quick Google search.
Even the GameCube sold more units (by almost double so far), and that console was hardly a rousing sales success for Nintendo in the face of competition from Microsoft and Sony.
If anything they could serve as some sort of retro looking throwback to older consoles should Nintendo decide to release some sort of NES, SNES or
even Gamecube designs.
I still remember sitting down with my British friends before Australia got
even the Gamecube and seeing the huge roster of fighters to choose from.
In addition, March's sales figures compared unfavourably to
even the Gamecube's, which comprised 165,000 consoles sold in March 2003, compared to the Wii U's 70,000 in March this year.

The first time I ever played Metroid: Prime was on the original
Gamecube release just before uploading this review, and this game is genuinely fun to play,

The graphics are still very good
even if they may look noticeable outdated compared to the newer
gamecube releases but graphics arent always what makes a game fun to play in the first place, and in this case its spot on.
Even though it is way better than the one on Wii, it still isn't better than the ones
Gamecube and N64.

Mario Party 8 arguably seems to have been a delayed
GameCube game, which leads many to believe that it would never
