For fruits you could add in raisins, sultanas or
even chopped dates.
I also know people who don't
even chop their dates if they're going to be blended; so you can skip this step, but you still must make sure that all pits are removed first, even in bags of supposedly «pitted dates.»

If you want more sweetness, perhaps adding a few
chopped dates or
even raisins in with the walnuts could help.
It is just 2 cups of cooked quinoa (slightly cooled), mixed with 3 egg yolks and 1 cup of
chopped pecans (or other nut as you prefer, or
even dates for a bit is sweetness) and then stir in 200g of melted dark chocolate (I like 70 %, but you can use any %, the darker the less sweet the cake is).
I tried coarsely
chopping the
dates to create more sticky surface area, I
even tried using my own body weight to mash them down into the pan... all I get is a mess.
Next time I'll add some
chopped dates — or maybe
even choc chips!
