Listening to the other side forces us
to think and helps us refine our

I know exactly the reaction that would ensue — an attempt
to dissuade me from what I just said and then confusion and anger when I don't
even listen yet want that person
to accept the validity of my
opinion regardless.
Even if other people judge you in a negative way, the benefits of counseling outweigh
listening to a negative
opinion about it.
