To make things
even more confusing, the
gameplay was
recorded on VHS (Dafuq?)
Here is one of Nintendo's popular franchises and they gave it to some random dev with no particularly great track
record and the resulting game in terms of
gameplay isn't
even reflective of the series.
Thanks to the unique Flashback Recording feature, Elgato Game Capture HD remembers the
gameplay that has preceded it,
even if the
record button wasn't pressed.
Instead, I purchased the Elgato Game Capture HD60, a game capture device that allows you to
record your most impressive kills with ease, live stream your
gameplay to Twitch with ease (and yes, it's better quality than using the Xbox One app), and
even upload your
recordings to YouTube, Twitter or Facebook.

There are no replays for online races either, so
even if you do have a good race, there'll be no way to relive it — other than your
recorded gameplay.
Twitch will be fully integrated with the Xbox One, allowing players to broadcast their
gameplay live directly from the console,
even recording voiceover using Kinect 2.0.
NVIDIA's ShadowPlay offers easy
gameplay recording, live streaming, and
even an FPS counter overlay.

The Gaming Tools is likely to be much more useful however, as it enables a tiny icon that overlays your game in the corner of your screen (in a rather unobtrusive way it must be said), and expanding it lets you turn off alerts, lock the recent apps and back keys, minimise the game, take a screenshot, or
even screen
record your
gameplay.
This will bring up the
recording menu, which lets you start
recording or grab a clip of the last 30 seconds of
gameplay,
even for games released before Windows 10 or launched from a third - party store such as Steam.
