Struck by the contingency and organic relatedness of social institutions, practices, and actions, and dismayed by the
Utopian ideologies to which so many modern minds are prone, paleoconservatives (as they now style themselves) such as Kirk are opposed to «ideological infatuation» or
even to imagining social projects for the
future at all.
The artists uses in her objects, materials such as glass, earth, stone and metal and has been developing a poetics of simple things, «autonomous and
utopian», which connect the archaic with the present, or
even confabulate a
future.
