During Medical Assistant Recognition Week, Robin Lee, a Ross Medical Education Center graduate, spoke to both the morning and
evening Medical Assistant classes in Port Huron, Michigan.
In preparation for this holiday season, students in the afternoon and
evening Medical Assistant classes in Johnson City brought items in for both boys and girls of three different age groups.
To bring a little more excitement, the students competed by class between the day and
evening Medical Assistant classes, Dental Assistant class, Pharmacy Technician class, Medical Insurance Billing and Office Administration class, and even the staff got in on the fun!
The week kicked off on Monday the 22nd, with a candid discussion for the students in
the evening Medical Assistant class, Medical Insurance Billing and Office Administration class, and Dental Assistant class.
Not to be outdone,
the evening Medical Assistant class, led by faculty members Lorraine Cox and Micki Jeffery, made Valentines and more for the Valentines for Ashlynn drive.
Lauren Johnson, student in
the evening Medical Assistant class worked to crochet scarves for local high school students that couldn't afford warm clothes, and she also got to work crocheting hats for patients at the Lafayette Cancer Center.
After a LOT of hard work, 1st place went to
the evening Medical Assistant class, 2nd place to the Medical Insurance Billing and Office Administration class, and 3rd place to the Pharmacy Technician class.
The students from
the evening Medical Assistant class were also able to meet with the hiring managers to ask questions about externship and hiring opportunities.
Not wanting to miss out on the off - campus fun, the students in
the evening Medical Assistant class had the opportunity to volunteer at the Manna House as well as Valley View Health and Rehab.
This spring, students from the Ross Medical Education Center Fort Wayne, Indiana campus in
the evening Medical Assistant class were excited to welcome a guest speaker from Parkview Physicians Group.
She returned in the evening to speak to
the evening Medical Assistant class.
