So even though many of these
church people may be the most involved, generous, outreach - focused, Jesus - loving people you'll
ever meet, they generally don't «get it» when a
church planter tries to do the things that are necessary to
plant a
church for people who won't go to
church.
They want to
plant churches for unchurched people, and especially for those who will not
ever go to a traditional
church.
Finally, I
planted a
church over a year ago with the intention not to take a salary possibly
ever.
So I don't know if I will
ever be going into formal «
church planting» but one thing I do know... this year, I am going to continue
planting a
church in my own home.
I think that
ever since our
church plant failed, I've been trying to recapture the sense of belonging... no, control... I had when I was such an integral part of creating our community's identity.
We've also been ridiculously busy with
church planting and concert house starting and all that related effort
ever since we moved here.
I'm farming mostly — but helping both my (grown) kids, their spouses and the prettiest little granddaughter
EVER move closer to home — to
plant a
church!
