The team has created an energy - harvesting prototype that could be used to charge a phone using
everyday background noise.
Ute Kraus and colleagues of the Environmental Risks research group led by Dr. Alexandra Schneider at the Institute of Epidemiology II (EPI II) at Helmholtz Zentrum München have now studied the effects of exposure to
our everyday background noise.
Add
everyday background noise and constant interruptions by other people, and the ability to comprehend what is heard becomes that much more difficult.
