It's not too much of a stretch to say that
everyone involved
in education who takes his or her
role seriously is a school reformer: anyone seeking ways to reshape the status quo and make schooling a more effective, rewarding learning experience is a reformer at heart.
But plans are only words on paper unless
everyone in the school system — from the board of
education and superintendent on down — fully understands and takes responsibility for their unique communication
roles.
And students, families, and the higher
education and business communities all have important
roles to play too; when they are active participants
in shaping classroom experiences,
everyone benefits.
