It is a disgrace when you are able to be complete and always you come short, it grows frustration among fans, pundits, and
everyone who bet

everyone call to stand as a big club and fix their flaws... Now the pundits and the media wait for us to slip and then say «see we told you»...

Mertz should never have been our captain in the first place...
who has ever heard of a
team that makes 11th hour transfer buys (Arteta & Mertz) then seemingly places those same individuals into prominent leadership positions from the get - go... indicative of the problems that have permeated our clubhouse for the better part of 7 years under the Kroenke & Wenger... what is wrong with the players chosen and / or the management style of Wenger that doesn't develop and / or encourage strong leadership from within... Mertz was the fine collecting lackey from year one... this is what happens when you don't get world - class players because many times they want to have a voice
on and off the pitch and this can't happen when you play for a fragile manager
who has developed a coddling wage structure where
everyone is rewarded for simply wearing the shirt and participating in the process... not enough balance between performance and pay, combined with the obvious favoritism shown to some players regardless of their glaring lack of production... remember that Ramsey has played in positions that make no sense considering his skill - set (out wide) and has forced other players off the field or into equally unfamiliar positions with little or no justification (let's remember when you read articles about how Ramsey's goals this upcoming season being the potential X-factor for our success that this is the same individual
who didn't score a goal until the final week last season)... this of course is just one example of many... before I hear another word from Mertz I want this club to address the fact that no former player of any real consequence has any important role in the management structure of this club, yet several former Gunners have expressed serious interest in just such an endeavor (Henry, Viera, Adams, Bergkamp... just to name a few legends)... there is only one answer: an extremely insecure manager!!!
This thing is being given too much attention. There a lot of players Arsenal passed up
on that Mourinho may have also signed you know.In fact there a lot of top players
who Arsenal passed up
on signing when they were young and for some even matured.Does this mean they aren't good enough?Wenger even regrets passing up
on certain players. The fact is that
everyone has his basis for signing or not signing a player.Clearly, Wenger and Mourinho both have their basis
on whether Lacazette was good enough. One player
who is deemed average to another
team could be deemed useless to another
team.I just don't know why much attention is being given to this thing. One thing I know for sure is Laca is a good finisher and that's alk he needs this season. If Lacazette brings his finishing boots this season it's going to be goals galore.
The story repeats, if anyone followed his stay with MANURE, he had flashes of brilliance
everyone thought he was the next best thing, only to disappear as fast as he rose, he then spent half of last season
on the bench with Marouane, till MANURE found a
team really desperate (US),
who missed great opportunities to sign World class Strikers, to dump him, better yet they got TOP dollars for a barely above average Player....
you said the same thing after this event in 2014... and again in 2015... then last year we did nt actually win anything but we added xhaka so lets get behind the
team like wat a «true» fan does... unlike others
on this site
who do nt really know anything about footie like me even though ive been wrong about our chances for the last 10 seasons it do nt matter coz i'm a real fan and wenger is a great bloke
who knows about footie whereas all these negative fans do nt know nuffin... its like listening to some demented uncle every xmas droning
on about how things were better in the old days when
everyone knew their place....
I'm so sick of people telling those of us
who are disgruntled fans to relax and give this club time to correct itself... for anyone
who believes that taking a wait - and - see approach is appropriate at this juncture they should take a good long look at themselves in the mirror because they are a big part of the problem... no other «big» club's fans would stand for this shit for nearly as long as we have... think about it, we've witnessed a changing of the guard at every major club in England, Spain, France and Germany in the last several years because those «big» clubs failed to live up to expectations (Barcelona, Real Madrid, Bayern, PSG, Chelsea, ManU, ManCity etc...)... for some reason, many fans have become as fragile as our current manager, believing that there couldn't possibly be a suitable replacement, even though
everyone of these clubs have found multiple replacements and still achieved far more than our club... this mindset has been created by an organization that has been milking it's fans, telling countless lies (no world class players available) and lowering expectations every since they rolled out the biggest lie of all: that we couldn't spend because of the new stadium but once it was paid off we could compete with any
team in the world... this organization is rotting from the inside out and if we don't demand that those in charge put soccer first this despicable behaviour won't end with Wenger's ridiculous 2 year contract... I think the real fear isn't that a suitable replacement doesn't exist, but that this organization is so money hungry and poorly mismanaged that we will sink even lower by choosing our next coach the same way they choose our players,
on the cheap... even so, we need to see what mustache will do if left to his own devices so he will have to show his true colours... only then can we purge this club and start anew
The type of footballer
who everyone wants
on their
team and no striker wants to come up against, Skrtel will take the ball and the man, rather than just the ball just to make a point to the opposition.
talk about skewing the stats to fit your own conclusions... this is like a slap in the face to every real Arsenal fan... have you no shame, have you no dignity, have you no sense of right from wrong... if you think everything was so well orchestrated why is
everyone and their brother laughing at the way in which we conduct business both
on and off the field... either you're a paid hack or a delusional buffoon... regardless you can't be a genuine Arsenal fan because the difficulties facing this club having been going
on for years and this latest episode in our pathetic recent history is but a glaring reminder of how far we have fallen... I'm not going to waste my time discrediting every single ridiculous statement you made in your love letter to Wenger, but if you write another article I will gladly expose you for the fraud you truly are... this club is in desperate need of a serious cleansing and for you to try and package this dog and pony show as a well - oiled machine is a direct insult to anyone
who has supported this
team during the supposed «lean» years... the deceptive and disrespectful manner in which this organization has treated it's fans is an abomination to supporters everywhere and for you to even try to justify their actions is akin to saying just shut - up and keep filling our pockets... so please crawl back under whatever stone you crawled out from under and think carefully before you spew this type of propaganda ever again
Becoming emotionally invested in a sports
team is an inherently irrational activity, so pulling out the «It's a bunch of people
who don't call Pennsylvania home getting paid ridiculous amounts of money to chase a piece of rubber up and down a sheet of ice»
on a sports fan blog is just as silly as deciding
everyone who chooses to support a
team from Western Pennsylvania is stupid.
I just don't get you guys at times. What's with all the hype? The downfall of a
team is not dependent
on whether the
team's best player leaves or not. It's much more than that.People can not just say that if Arsenal sign Lacazette and Alexis leaves we wil not improve.People acting as if we've not had better players leave the club
who we have survived without. It's funny how
everyone is predicting doom if Alexis leaves but I wonder
who will be shocked if we place 4th without him in the squad next season. It's not all about Alexis you.Transition is part of life so you you just have to take it as it comes. If you think Alexis» departure means Arsenal downfall you guys are all wrong. Now look how many are claiming Alexis is irreplaceable.Yet before he came many wouldn't have said that.Alexis is a replaceable player to me because someone might even come and do better.Look at him before he came and look at him now there's your evidence.
Who did he replace?
The biggest problem has been wenger for long time now «project» run Arsenal football club as an academy and try to prove to
everyone else he is the one
who knows better and try to bring in kids
who have potential but not ready for 1st
team resisting spending money to improve squad depth and cling in
on average players: Iwobi, welbeck, theo, chambers, holding and player other players
on wrong position Monreal and not give opportunity to good footballer Perez and Campell also you have been holding too much power from transfer, players contracts, arsenal finances as a whole and now all that BS start to backfire
exactly my point, we arsenal fans are so retarded that we think having lacazette
on the bench is bad, but if it's manchester city
everyone will say it's quality in squad depth, we always criticise mourinho for playing defensive football but want simeone to come and be our coach, someone
who can not attack against a
team as weak as leganes or alaves.
Mick you know apart from Podolski
who is not world class the rest are not natural left wingers
everyone can play there but its a specialized talent to play
on the left there are one natural left wingers to ten right wingers in the world may be even more, all top
teams have the best lefties, if you look back to our games in the past against top
teams left is where we were punished the most and the last time we had a natural left winger was Samir Nasri and if you remember that was the last time Arsenal played sexy football.
Once the
team is out
on the pitch we need men out there
who will ensure that
everyone is pulling their weight and trying their best to get the right result, so the comments from new Gunner Granit Xhaka reported by Sky Sports this week are very good for us fans to hear, as they make it seem like the midfielder has exactly the right attitude for the marathon of a league campaign.

He displayed his leadership DNA his very first year in the league and went
on to success and in the process built the foundation for the most formidable dynasty in the modern NBA the Golden State Warriors
who by the way are strikingly similar to the dysfunction of the Knicks today when he took over for them and for whatever reason
everyone here hates him and doesn't want him to come home to lead his hometown
team.
i know that we need to keep both players, their importance to the
team should be reflected in their wages, i'd like to see them get between 200 000/250 000 a week but they shouldn't hold us to ransom and ask for 300 000 like i read somewhere also they shouldn't take into account the reasons why they've been playing well (very well i should say) the fact that they are at the right club playing under a manager
who gives them the freedom to express themselves
on the pitch, teammates that respect them and see them as their leaders they must enjoy leading the
team and the way our
team plays its football, i think right now both the players and the club suit each other and the best outcome for all parties (including fans) would be to agree
on contracts that satisfy
everyone!!
Obviously, my (and virtually
everyone else's) biggest whiff last season was, well, another freshman - heavy Kentucky
team,
who went from the No. 2 overall seed
on November 9th to the NIT.
Time for some brutal honesty... this
team, as it stands, is in no better position to compete next season than they were 12 months ago, minus the fact that some fans have been easily snowed by the acquisition of Lacazette, the free transfer LB and the release of Sanogo... if you look at the facts carefully you will see a
team that still has far more questions than answers... to better show what I mean by this statement I will briefly discuss the current state of affairs
on a position - by - position basis... in goal we have 4 potential candidates, but in reality we have only 1 option with any real future and somehow he's the only one we have actively tried to get rid of for years because he and his father were a little too involved
on social media and he got caught smoking (funny how people still defend Wiltshire under the same and far worse circumstances)... you would think we would want to keep any goaltender that Juventus had interest in, as they seem to have a pretty good history when it comes to that position... as far as the defenders
on our current roster there are only a few individuals whom have the skill and / or youth worthy of our time and / or investment, as such we should get rid of anyone
who doesn't meet those simple requirements, which means we should get rid of DeBouchy, Gibbs, Gabriel, Mertz and loan out Chambers to see if last seasons foray with Middlesborough was an anomaly or a prediction of things to come... some fans have lamented wildly about the return of Mertz to the starting lineup due to his FA Cup performance but these sort of pie in the sky meanderings are indicative of what's wrong with this club and it's wishy - washy fan - base... in addition to these moves the club should aggressively pursue the acquisition of dominant and mobile CB to stabilize an all too fragile defensive group that has self - destructed
on numerous occasions over the past 5 seasons... moving forward and building
on our need to re-establish our once dominant presence throughout the middle of the park we need to target a CDM then do whatever it takes to get that player into the fold without any of the usual nickel and diming we have become famous for (this kind of ruthless haggling has cost us numerous special players and certainly can't help make the player in question feel good about the way their future potential employer feels about them)... in order for us to become dominant again we need to be strong up the middle again from Goalkeeper to CB to DM to ACM to striker, like we did in our most glorious years before and during Wenger's reign... with this in mind, if we want Ozil to be that dominant attacking midfielder we can't keep leaving him exposed to constant ridicule about his lack of defensive prowess and provide him with the proper players in the final third... he was never a good defensive player in Real or with the German National squad and they certainly didn't suffer as a result of his presence
on the pitch... as for the rest of the midfield the blame falls squarely in the hands of Wenger and Gazidis, the fact that Ramsey, Ox, Sanchez and even Ozil were allowed to regularly start when none of the aforementioned had more than a year left under contract is criminal for a club of this size and financial might... the fact that we could find money for Walcott and Xhaka,
who weren't even guaranteed starters, means that our whole business model needs a complete overhaul... for me it's time to get rid of some serious deadweight, even if it means selling them below what you believe their market value is just to simply right this ship and change the stagnant culture that currently exists... this means saying goodbye to Wiltshire, Elneny, Carzola, Walcott and Ramsey...
everyone, minus Elneny, have spent just as much time
on the training table as
on the field of play, which would be manageable if they weren't so inconsistent from a performance standpoint (excluding Carzola,
who is like the recent version of Rosicky — too bad, both will be deeply missed)... in their places we need to bring in some proven performers with no history of injuries... up front, although I do like the possibilities that a player like Lacazette presents, the fact that we had to wait so many years to acquire some true quality at the striker position falls once again squarely at the feet of Wenger... this issue highlights the ultimate scam being perpetrated by this club since the arrival of Kroenke: pretend your a small market club when it comes to making purchases but milk your fans like a big market club when it comes to ticket prices and merchandising... I believe the reason why Wenger hasn't pursued someone of Henry's quality, minus a fairly inexpensive RVP, was that he knew that they would demand players of a similar ilk to be brought
on board and that wasn't possible when the business model was that of a «selling» club... does it really make sense that we could only make a cheeky bid for Suarez, or that we couldn't get Higuain over the line when he was being offered up for half the price he eventually went to Juve for, or that we've only paid any interest to strikers
who were clearly not going to press their current
teams to let them go to Arsenal like Benzema or Cavani... just part of the facade that finally came crashing down when Sanchez finally called their bluff... the fact remains that no one wants to win more than Sanchez, including Wenger, and although I don't agree with everything that he has done off the field, I would much rather have Alexis front and center than a manager
who has clearly bought into the Kroenke model in large part due to the fact that his enormous ego suggests that only he could accomplish great things without breaking the bank... unfortunately that isn't possible anymore as the game has changed quite dramatically in the last 15 years, which has left a largely complacent and complicit Wenger
on the outside looking in... so don't blame those players
who demanded more and were left wanting... don't blame those fans
who have tried desperately to raise awareness for several years when cracks began to appear... place the blame at the feet of those
who were well aware all along of the potential pitfalls of just such a plan but continued to follow it even when it was no longer a financial necessity, like it ever really was...

Wish thinking is something we can discuss for the time being but our season was over even before it began even Usmanov
on his article a while ago said Arsenal needs two world class players in every position but our below average manager thinks the other way try to prove
everyone wrong and keep pushing young players
who are not ready for 1st
team he has been doing experience for over ten years now and still he can't see it!
