Scholars from a
variety of disciplines (clinical observers, neuroscientists, primatologists, social psychologists, sociologists, life span researchers, and historians) provide
evidence that people do
in fact frequently catch one another's emotions (for reviews see Chartrand, Maddux, & Lakin, 2005; Hatfield et al., 1994, 2009, 2014; Hess & Fischer, 2013; Lundqvist, 1993).
