These slight matter fluctuations
evolved over cosmic time because of the mutual gravitational attraction of matter, and eventually the large scale structure of the present day Universe become visible.
In this talk, UC Berkeley's Dr. Mariska Kriek will present recent studies of galaxies in the Early Universe, and discuss our current view of how different types of galaxies may have formed and
evolved over cosmic time.
Although the Universe itself, and galaxies within it, has
evolved over cosmic time, globular clusters are very robust and many have survived intact for over 10 billion years.
