Calling a game thats
the exact same mechanics as every other COD «revolutionary»?
If any of you have played Hitman Absolution, it was
the exact same mechanic for showing guard alertness level.
Silent Hill had
the exact same mechanic as Grim Fandango, I think it's unfair to just say «Japanese horror games»

You claim that the quantum
mechanics that resulted in our universe are false, while the
exact same quantum
mechanics that let your computer operate are true.
Quantum
Mechanics is WAY weirder and more complex than, say, evolution (though I like how you threw the big bang in there — separate theories, dude), but you won't really hear any religious nuts complaining about the
exact same process that gives us QM because it doesn't conflict with their ancient mythology.
Since your other
mechanic found melted wires, one possibility following an engine replacement is that your
mechanic did not route the electrical wires the
exact same way as before.
We try to copy the
mechanics of their journey in the hopes it will take us along the
exact same road, instead of going through that painful existential process of figuring out who we are, and forging our own path.
It's your job to score victory points and thereby defeat the other players, with the
exact method of scoring points changing based on which of the three missions you undertake, but we'll get back to that later on as all the gameplay
mechanics remain the
same regardless.
That's not to say they should do the
exact same thing as those other fighters; the addition of the Infinity Stones and the new, more dynamic tag team
mechanics are great.
While this doesn't necessarily give a sense of individuality to your character, as every one who plays the
same class as you will get the
exact same abilities, the
mechanic doesn't hinder the fun.
So how could a developer keep a game mode the
exact same but change the
mechanics of the game?
It's not that I want every single game to feature the
exact same enemies and gameplay
mechanics, but I (and I think a lot of people) have always wanted at least one 3D iteration of a 2D franchise to feature 3D versions of all the familiar items and enemies.
In most cases, applying oil simply means presenting the
exact same underlying
mechanic in a better way.
