Researchers
examined the electronic health records of 6,042 Kaiser Permanente patients in Southern California who were 40 years or older and who were hospitalized with COPD between Jan. 1, 2011 and Dec. 31, 2012.
Kuusisto and Page have received approval to use de-identified
electronic health records from the National VA Hospital, with approximately 10 million
records, to continue the drug repurposing work,
examining several drug effects such as lowering of cholesterol levels or blood pressure.
With colleagues across the disciplines she is also
examining the use of Australia's Personally Controlled
Electronic Health Record by children with disabilities in the transition from child to adult health services, and safety in hospital for people with communication difficulties associated with stroke, cerebral palsy, or a
