examples of the junk food rewards my kids have received over the years from teachers in their classrooms.

Here in Houston ISD, for
example, high school students, PTOs and coaches often set up fundraising tables at lunch to sell entrees from local restaurants and fast
food chains, everything from pizza to Chinese
food, creating veritable «
food courts»
of junk food.
For
example, my daughter's volleyball team has a «no
junk food» policy during tournaments (these last 3 - 4 days) and water is the drink
of choice.
Stories like this are excellent
examples of why schools need to get out
of the business
of selling
junk food.
For
example, if you know you will be cheating with 500 calories
of junk food today, make room for these 500 calories by eating 500 less calories than you normally would that day.
So if you eat a lot
of cholesterol
foods, your liver just makes less cholesterol.We are thinking now that the tables set for healthy cholesterol levels are maybe inaccurate, its been know for years for
example that older folk with high cholesterol actually live longer and more healthy lives than those with low or medically corrected cholesterol.If we could stay away from
junk food with its sugar, oils and even chemical pesticides, take in less calories than we burn and eat a very basic diet, like that
of a hunter gatherer, we may be in the best shape
of our lives.
These are just
examples of how once you start appreciating the natural flavors
of real
foods, you find that you no longer need the overly aggressive sugary, salty, or artificial flavors that have been ingrained in us by
food manufacturers and all
of the
junk they push on us.
For individuals with a high level
of dopamine receptors, they can become addicted to
food just as they would get addicted to a drug (7), as modern - day
junk foods create a surge
of dopamine to be released in the brain (similarly to cocaine, for
example).
Also was thinking that the so - called small pox epidemic that killed so many natives could have been an early
example of biological warfare, even if it was only the acceptance
of some items
of junk food even in small amounts from frontier stores.
Some are even organic, an
example of the rapidly growing «organic
junk food» segment
of the so - called health
food industry.
Some
examples of foods that contain significant amounts
of these two «bad fats» are chips and cookies, fast
food, pastries, and typical
junk food.
This is another
example of whether you are eating processed
junk food or a «healthy» diet as recommended by the CDC, you will be missing out.
Those are all
examples of wholesome high - carb meals resembling (and often surpassing in taste) common
junk foods that could provide a kickstart to your metabolic rate.
Proteins and leafy greens are a prime
example of such a
food, so including them in your meals will make you feel more full, and minimize the chance that you'll get a craving for any kind
of junk.
For
example: as much as you might try to eat just three meals a day, your subconscious mind has information stored that associates snacking on
junk foods with relieving stress or feelings
of anxiety and guilt.

Examples of frivolous consumption are paper towels, fast
food and product packaging,
junk mail and catalogs, and (biggest in the US in terms
of volume) wood housing construction.
