April and May have blessed us with the release of several
excellent films from Fantastic Fest 2015, including Too Late, Green Room, The Invitation, and...
I'm actually quite satisfied with this year's set of awards, as many of the stand out films got recognized, though that's not to say there are many, many other

It also pretty much reconfirms Affleck's talent as a director — following his
excellent Gone Baby Gone which remains one of my favorite
films from the last couple of years.

films are, and both featuring

from Pitt, what distinguishes Rhinoceros Eyes
from The Dreamers is a naïveté about the enduring power of
film that enchants.
This would seem like an insurmountable contradiction, but Jason Reitman's
film fleshes out the character, Ryan Bingham, with shadings and subtlety, and Clooney gets
excellent support
from co-stars Vera Farmiga and Anna Kendrick.
Aided by an
excellent screenplay and assured direction
from Nicole Holofcener, Lovely and Amazing is a
film that plays for catharsis and empathy and achieves a good draught of both, content to leave expeditions into stickier climes to more serious - minded
films.
I am always skeptic when it comes to most sci - fi action
films but Looper is the rare exception that proves
from time to time
excellent ones are made.
