excellent mobile ports of various Sonic the Hedgehog classics.

Square Enix has made a big business out of
porting their older catalog to iOS alongside some of their original
mobile titles, and their most recent example of this is an
excellent port of the 2008 Nintendo DS remake of the 2002 PlayStation remake of the original 1990 RPG classic Dragon Quest IV.
Once they cracked how to make Dragon Quest VIII work well on
mobile, it paved the way for the older, less graphically intensive games in the series, like the
excellent port of Dragon Quest IV.
SEGA, along with the
excellent Christian «Taxman» Whitehead and Simon «Stealth» Thomley (responsible for the brilliant
mobile ports of Sonic 1, 2 and CD), have taken the 16 - bit titles, keeping the gameplay and level designs / layouts and just using subtle enhancements to keep the game feeling fresh enough for modern systems.

excellent second game, shown above, to even a new
mobile game (called Earth Defense Force Legend).
But that strategy changed slightly, when their Vita title fell into obscurity and the team's focus shifted towards the
mobile market — with the single exception of
porting the
excellent Viking: Battle for Asgard to PC (so it's not been 100 %
mobile).
Still, battery life is
excellent, you get four USB
ports (two USB 3.1, two USB - C / Thunderbolt) and the Privacy Screen is likely to prove useful for
mobile professionals.
