To save weight and reduce parts count, the cylinder heads have uniquely integrated

port castings that provide optimal positioning of the close - coupled catalytic converters - one on each cylinder bank.
Casting the cylinder head and
exhaust manifold as a single unit reduces overall weight, simplifies assembly, and gets the turbocharger closer to the
