building into a state - of - the - art
exhibition space and managed it as a commercial gallery beginning
in 1991 before donating it to the University at Buffalo
in 2000.
His immersive works are
built from amassed art supplies and materials found
in his studio
space — including artists» tape adhered to the walls, floor and ceiling, bubble wrap, old newsprint, un-stretched canvases and press releases from gallery
exhibitions.
Presented within The Roundhouse — a 17,000 sq. ft

The museum's six ground - floor galleries will feature a combination of long - term and rotating
exhibitions, including two of the new commissions, works from ICA Miami's permanent collection, and a
space dedicated to temporary scholarly
exhibitions that
build upon key master works
in the museum's collection.
That unique
space,
in a gritty, quirky, historic mill
building, was where we learned to be gallerists, where we became known for putting together quality
exhibitions by local and international artists, and for making art accessible and approachable.
