Transport Secretary Philip Hammond said the Government had been clear in its opposition to additional runways at Heathrow, Gatwick and Stansted, so the challenge now was to make better use of
existing runway capacity.
We welcome the recommendations in today's report for immediate action to improve the use of
existing runway capacity and we urge Government to act on these.
