EDUTOPIA: What's behind current efforts to
expand computer science education across the K — 12 spectrum?
In addition to participating schools, representatives of various organizations and nonprofits working to
expand computer science education, including CS4All, Digital Girl, Girls Who Code, The Learnatory, Codesters, Black Girls Code, and Sankofa Global will be on hand to talk about their CS education programs.
The program is also a direct funding source for
expanding computer science education and other skills focused initiatives designed to help students acquire the knowledge and skills they will need after graduation.

This week, as we celebrate the new rise of
computer science education, we shouldn't forget how some these efforts might also offer a glimpse into new models for
