Rockstar Games recently delivered the second trailer for Red Dead Redemption 2 and now we finally have some idea
of what to
expect in terms
of story.
Rockstar's keeping the details
of the plot close to its chest at this point, but we're
expecting the game's story to play a crucial part in Redemption, perhaps more so than any other
Rockstar game.
And because the world
of Rockstar's latest is already historic, documented, filmed, it appears just as we've come to
expect the Wild West to appear: dusty sand dunes, dry tumbleweeds, cheaply built wooden buildings, moustached sherifs, cheap prostitutes — it's Stagecoach, Tombstone, For a Few Dollars More, in style and substance.
An announcement could come sooner, but don't
expect Rockstar to launch any new games until middle
of next year at the soonest.
It should be noted that most, if not all,
of the promotional displays spotted so far sport PlayStation 4 branding, which is to be
expected considering the special deal Sony has with
Rockstar regarding Red Dead Redemption 2 content.
Rockstar's given no word on what to
expect from the trailer, but after one trailer focused on the game world and another revealing something
of the story, we'd hope for a chunk
of representative gameplay to have a look at.
Seeing as the warrior above gets one
of the few speaking parts in the trailer - and also looks to be the furthest figure on the right in previous
Rockstar artwork -
expect him to be an important player in Red Dead Redemption 2's story.
So
Rockstar's track record
of legendary single player content has never been broken, and everyone will
expecting something
of the same calibre for Red Dead Redemption 2, as a minimum.
At the end
of the day though, to the Red Dead fans, all
of this means two things: Red Dead Redemption 2 may turn out to be a much more multiplayer and mainstream oriented title than many long - time fans
expect, and that Take - Two's desire to release more games more frequently is aimed primarily at 2K and the new mobile market, not
Rockstar.
We move from the badlands
of the Old West, inching towards civilization — again rendered with the same amazing levels
of detail we've come to
expect from
Rockstar Games.

expect fiscal 2019 to be a record year for Net Sales and net cash provided by operating activities led by the launches

of the sparse info that exists, meaning it may become a success greater than

of this, nor are we
expecting it to.
Rockstar has just dropped the one thing everyone was
expecting: the name
of the next Red Dead Redemption game.
While
Rockstar Games will undoubtedly craft a meaty single player story campaign for Red Dead Redemption 2, after the incredible success
of Grand Theft Auto Online a deep, addictive multiplayer mode is to be
expected as well.
