I find that it's not more
expensive, the things I eat on a day to day basis — seasonal veggies, bananas, brown rice,
quinoa etc are really cheap — much cheaper
than ready meals or meat.
Your sushi looks far, far neater
than any sushi I've made I love brown rice and
quinoa varieties too, and as you say, they can be hard to find (or
expensive)-- so making your own is a great idea.
If you're not familiar with
quinoa — it's a little more
expensive to buy
than rice, but the benefits of consuming
quinoa far outweigh those of eating rice (brown or white).
