It seems clear to me (I have been putting off and coming
out of the religion
of men for 28 years) that the clear teaching
of Scripture is that Man IS a Body AND Spirit in combination — and the
experience of this interaction is the ephemeral thing we call
Consciousness — «Soul».
Only one - which you will never find until you have excluded all those superficial and fleeting possibilities
of being and doing with which you toy,
out of curiosity or wonder or greed, and which hinder you from casting anchor in the
experience of the mystery
of life, and the
consciousness of the talent entrusted to you which is your I».
So that has led me to believe, through my findings, studies and personal mystical
experiences that we do indeed have an energy called the soul and there is a
consciousness beyond and
out of a human body.
There need be no conflict between these two positions, however, if there is some original awareness, however faint,
of «the basic facts
of experience» from what later turns
out to be the inverted perspective
of consciousness.

out that, despite this multiplicity, it is a matter not only
of unified behavior but also

experience, so that the explanation [260] called for by the «miracle
of life» consists precisely in this unification.

of concentration, it ends by reflecting upon itself?
