Our team used those
practices as a starting point
in thinking about what a really engaging and rigorous academic
experience could
look like for students.
For example, if you haven't been seeing a lot of repeat clients,
like, you feel
like, anecdotally, you see clients and then you're not getting referrals from those clients; you're not getting repeat business if that is the type of
practice that you're
in, you might want to start
looking right away at the KPI which is the net promoter score around client
experience before you waste too much time worrying about your firm culture or how much it costs you to acquire those clients.
This maybe goes hand -
in - hand with what you're saying about the problem with mentorship, because while I do think that
experienced lawyers have so much advice to give, I think that the world facing new lawyers and what their
practices are going to
look like are quite different than what those more
experienced lawyers, what their trajectory their career has taken.
So that will be lots of questions that I'm sure many of your listeners will have been
practicing or if not that needs to be one of my tips that you do
practice but you know, tell me a time when you've lead a team or tell me when you've worked with people that are different from yourself, something
like that where you're pulling on some of your
experiences to answer some questions so that we can see whether you've got the level of proficiency
in the competency that we're
looking for.
