Acclaimed artist Elaine Reichek uses techniques traditionally associated with women's work, including sewing and knitting, to
explore questions of language, culture, and authenticity while also elevating
media typically associated with
craft into the realm of high art.
Trained in sculpture at Parsons School of Design (BFA), Tyler School of Art (MFA), and at the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture, Hilary Harp creates sculptures, installations and
media projects which
explore new hybrid forms, and challenge categories, particularly categories of high and low, male and female, technology and
craft.
They
explored media like embroidery and other
crafts as well as the notion that art is essentially a collaborative rather than a solo effort.

Neilsen and Lauschmann represent the world of artist - teachers, each
exploring through colour, pattern, texture and rhythm the possibilities of
craft and new
media.
