I didn't acquire my taste for the art world in what seems to be the popular way of doing so, by early
exposure to art history and first - hand experience of the work of revered painters and sculptors; while I engage with the history and traditions of art in a serious way now, I was unconcerned with such scholarship just a few short years ago.

exposure to art history and the masochism of still wanting its approval, Unlikable Female Characters is a modest show that questions its own modesty.
