Seven of the nine Parliaments in Australia passed motions of apology
expressing, in slightly different forms, feelings of
deep or sincere regret for the
hurt and distress suffered by Indigenous people as a result of the policies of forced separation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children from their families.
