I made a few variations — I only had 400g sweet potato so added some apple puree to make up the difference, increased almond meal to 1 cup, added some vanilla, decaf
coffee powder and
extra salt —
extra tasty!
If you don't want to do
coffee, you can do cocoa
powder and some
extra milk or water, or fresh fruit, or vanilla.
Substitutions that worked fine: I didn't have espresso
powder, used brewed
coffee instead — about a cup, replacing the water (so 1 cup water, 1 cup
coffee for liquid); also I didn't have an ounce of unsweetened chocolate, used unsweetened cocoa
powder (3 Tablespoons) and an
extra tablespoon of butter.

extra kick, add a tsp of
coffee with the cacao
powder for an espresso CHOCTini.
I did use the regular amount of
coffee and espresso
powder but added an
extra T of syrup.
Breakfast: 2 cups
coffee with 4 tablespoons half and half, 1/2 English muffin with 1 tablespoon butter,
extra large scrambled egg with 1 tablespoon butter, 4 ounces apricot / apple juice, 2 teaspoons cod liver oil, 8 ounces whole milk with 3 tablespoons cocoa
powder.
Simply adding raw cacao
powder to your daily routine — in your smoothie,
coffee, or alone in some water (perhaps with some pure stevia extract for sweetness)-- is also a great way to up your flavanol intake without any
extra sugar or other ingredients.
