If needed, you can add a bit
extra liquid like water or dairy - free milk.
If you have a crock pot you can use dried beans and uncooked grains and simply add
extra liquid like this (in addition to the soup).

Just
like when baking yeast breads - where it's common to have to adjust the amount of
liquid - the problem could simply be that your flour and grains are soaking up
extra liquid.
Oh — I made a couple (mostly accidental) modifications: I had a heavy hand w measuring the veggies and also did an
extra onion, just because we
like those a lot, so I didn't have enough
liquid in the pot.
NOTE: If you
like your soup to have more
liquid, feel free to add some
