There are many dishes I do spend
extra time cooking, but I think you need to have both in your back pocket.

extra cooking time to be delicious.
I have been buying my organic
extra virgin coconut oil online in 1 gallon pail because I use it all the
time for
cooking, baking & beauty care along with other goodies like hemp seeds, organic almonds, etc..
The blend of spices worked so well I was feeling lazy after a busy day so used
cooked lentils (also added a couple of grated carrots for
extra texture haha) but it still worked fine, just needed much less
time to
cook.
If you do decide to stuff your bird before baking, be sure to stuff the cavity loosely and add
extra cooking time.

For an easy way to make your own crispy tofu at home, simply do the following: (1) press a 14 or 16 ounce block of
extra firm tofu for at least 30 minutes to remove excess water (lay tofu on a cutting board, top with lots of paper towels, and then top with a heavy book or pot); (2) chop the tofu into cubes; (3) toss tofu with 1 1/2 tablespoons of coconut aminos (or soy sauce or tamari) along with 1 tablespoon melted coconut oil and red chili flakes; (4) add in 1 1/2 tablespoons cornstarch and toss to coat; (5) spread tofu cubes out on a parchment paper - lined baking tray; (5) Bake at 400 degrees Farenheit for 25 minutes until crispy and golden on the outside, tossing halfway through
cooking time.
Your variety may need
extra cooking time or a touch
extra liquid.
For frozen (which I used here), simply add an
extra hour of
cooking time.
Smaller scallops will
cook faster while
extra large scallops may need
extra time on each side.
OK so this only adds about 7 mins of
cooking time to your stew but that browning of the meat adds such an amazing
extra depth of flavour, that it is worth doing if you have
time.
The recipe makes enough for two dinners, so you can freeze the
extra for those
times that you are trying to make an easy dinner, or when you're
cooking for another family besides your own.
It takes
time, but just get one
extra ingredient to use in your
cooking every
time you shop.
Bear in mind that your pasta is
cooking in much less liquid than usual, so it will need frequent stirring and maybe a couple of
extra minutes than the
time specified on the box.
I've also found that it ALWAYS needs at least ten
extra minutes of
cooking time (I live in Iowa), that may just be an oven or weather issue.
For items that are going to be in the oven longer than cookies, like muffins or cakes, I also add a little moisture (maybe an
extra 2 Tbsp per cup), to counteract the drying effect of the
extra time things have to spend in the oven to finish
cooking at high altitude (lower boiling point, and all that).
It takes a little
extra time to help the sweet potatoes
cook down and get soft, making this a creamy and delicious dish!
The next
time I make them, I will use the suggestion in these reviews of adding
extra cooking spray to help ensure crispiness, and I might add a bit of Parmesan cheese.
But we're usually so busy keeping warm, we tend to spend more
time eating, less
time cooking and even less
time working out - which inevitably adds to that

I work full
time as an RN and don't often have
time to
cook large family meals so having the holiday off gives me that
extra time to make our holiday favorites.

The
extra cooking time was worth it IMO.
So, had I done that, it may not have needed that
extra cooking time I gave it =) So yes, adjust
time accordingly depending on how big your chunks of pork are to anybody who is paying attention... =)
For the zukes I like to do just a simple grate (squeeze out the
extra liquid with a few paper towels) and then add to some butter in a pan and fry up nice (the German woman I was a nanny for always
cooked them this way and its the first
time I ate zucchinis and actually liked them).
I had some
extra veggie broth that needed to be used so I added a tiny bit in at a
time to thin it as the soup was
cooking and thickening.
These pancakes need a little
extra cooking time because of the banana.
