Not exact matches
What we do know is that the connective
tissue around the tear gland weakens resulting in the gland prolapsing and
protruding from the
eye.
There will be little or no tearing in the corners of the
eye; the
tissue lining the eyelid will be a healthy pink; and the membrane of the third eyelid will not
protrude.
The everted
tissue protrudes from the inside corner of the
eye and becomes red and inflamed because of environmental irritation and desiccation (drying) of the exposed gland.
