If you are keeping track, I used 4 bottles of paint and 2 bottles
of fabric medium so far.
To make it easy, I poured 2 bottles of paint and 1 bottle of
fabric medium into an old plastic container and mixed them together with my sponge brush.
If you want other colors, you will
need fabric medium and acrylic paint in the color of your choice.
I mixed acrylic paint with a little of that Martha
Stewart fabric medium and stenciled one piece of my fabric.

If you want to add the polkadots,
add Fabric Medium (so it will be washable) to any craft paint and use the bottom of a paint brush to paint on little dots.
Like I say in the post, since I didn't
use fabric medium, my paint does have a rough finish but I do not believe it will chip since the paint is absorbed into the fabric, not coating the top.

Fabric Medium, Martha Stewart Fabric Medium and Annie SLoan Chalk Paint.

the fabric medium (and maybe a little water too) would make the clear top coat pliable enough that you could put a thin layer over the wax without it getting crunchy.
