I suppose it has most resembled a blue - chip stock:
fairly stable, more ups than downs, and gradually
trending upward over time.
If they were, wouldn't there be
trends in, for example, sensitivity estimates increasing over time rather than staying
fairly stable?
The chart on the left (for periods ending Sept. 1999) reveals an acceleration of global warming
trends, while the CO2 growth
trends (see black dotted curve) across periods were

My understanding of the IPCC work is that they are expected
trends over 20 years to be comparatively
stable, and on that basis gave a
