Atheists: I know many there are many people that practice religion just by fanaticism, I've seen many people in my opinion stupid (excuse the word) praying to saints hopping to solve their problems by repeating pre-made sentences over
and over, but there are others different, I don't think Religion
and Science need to be opposites, I believe in God, I'm Catholic
and I have many
reasons to believe in him, I don't think however that we should pray instead of looking for the cause
and applying a solution, Atheists think they are smart
because they focus on Science
and technology instead of putting their
faith in a God, I don't think God will solve our problems, i think he gave us the means to solve them by ourselves that's were God is, also I think that God created everything but not as a Magical thing but stablishing certain rules like Physics
and Quimics etc. he's not an idiot
and he knew how to make it so everything was on balance, he's the Scientist of Scientist the Mathematic of Mathematics, the Physician of Physicians, from the tiny little fact that a mosquito, an insect species needs to feed from blood from a completely different species, who created the mosquitos that way?

So many people who advocate or speak publicly for political or personal
reasons aren't acknowledged as much when it comes to religion when someone is wanting to speak out about there
faith a light bulb goes off
and says we don't want to hear, or talk, or, air any thing that has to do with the mentioning of God but
because of the high profile story
and because this is the President of the United States it's ok hats off to them for not being ashamed to speak about there

historical Jesus, lmfao... show me any historical evidence of jesus... let's start with his remains... they don't exist - your explanation, he rose to the heavens... historical evidence - no remains, no proof of existence (not a disproof either, just not a proof)... then let's start with other historians writing about the life of Jesus around his time or shortly after, as outside neutral observers... that doesn't exist either (not a disproof again, just not a proof)... we can go on
and on... the fact is, there is not a single proving evidence of Jesus's life in an historical context... there is no existence of Jesus in a scientific context either (virgin birth... riiiiiight)... it is just written in a book,
and stuck in your head... you have a right to believe in what you must... just don't base it on history or science... you believe
because you do... it is your right... but try not to put

faith; that's when you start sounding unreasonable, borderline crazy...

reason that every Christian must of necessity be «high church,» not in any denominational sense, not with any ecclesiastical overtones, but simply

and worship
and faith which has come to be known as «the church.»

Atheism offers nothing to me, it never has
and never will, it doesn't make me feel good or comfort me, it's not there for me when I'm sick or ill, it won't intervene in my times of need or protect me from hate, it doesn't care if I fail or succeed, it won't wipe the tears from my eyes, it does nothing when I have no where to run, it won't give me wise words or advice, it has no teaches for me to learn, it can't show me what's bad or nice, it's never inspired or excited anyone, it won't help me fulfill all my goals, it won't tell me to stop when I'm having fun, it's never saved one single soul, it doesn't take credit for everything I achieve, it won't make me get down on bended knee, it doesn't demand that I have to believe, it won't torture me for eternity, it won't teach me to hate or despise others, it won't tell me what's right or wrong, it can't tell nobody not to be lovers, it's told no one they don't belong, it won't make you think life is worth living, it has nothing to offer me, that's true, but the
reason Atheism offers me nothing is
because I've never asked it to, Atheism offers nothing
because it doesn't need to, Religion promises everything
because you want it to, You don't need a Religion or to have
faith, You just want it
because you need to feel safe, I want to feel reality
and nothing more, Atheism offers me everything that Religion has stolen before.
In my book Jewish Renewal: A Path to Healing
and Transformation, I point out that in the original Hebrew version the word for «the Lord» that calls Abraham to sacrifice his son is very different than the word for the angel of God (YHVH) who tells Abraham to NOT GO THROUGH WITH IT,
and that the
reason we Jews celebrate Abraham as the father of our people is NOT
because of his
faith in being willing to carry out this violent
and bloody act, but rather
because he was able to hear the voice of God as a voice that allowed him (
and through him all subsequent Jewish
and Muslim believers) to NOT FOLLOW THE VOICE OF CRUETLY AS SOMEHOW THE VOICE OF GOD.
Having been raised in a Christian home, the reality of people like this convince me that more

Well,
FAITH, there's the problem... that gibberish in the bible was just made up by «some guy» to keep the peasants behaving in a manner that whomever wrote it thought was a good way to behave... some of those guys were wise, yes, and there are benefits to following some of the «guidelines» set forth in the Bible... but it's a circular argument to use the Bible as a reason to have faith, because you have to first BELIEVE in the deity, THEN believe that the deity inspired the writings, THEN you can take the writings as «truth»... Some years ago James Smart observed that one of the
reasons the Bible is «strangely silent» in congregations is
because pastors are not able to bring a «critical» perspective on Scripture to bear on
faith issues.5 With that in mind, I have attempted to address a biblically informed theological reflection to the key issues raised by transition in culture, church,
and family.
Rollins writes, «A
faith that only exist in the light of victory
and certainty is one which really affirms the self while pretending to affirm Christ... Only a genuine

faith does not act
because of a self - interested
reason (such as fear of hell or desire for heaven) but acts simply
because it must.»

Tim i found it liberating to just do what the Lord wants you to do i work within his boundarys
and yes i attend church
and enjoy it.I love the people
and i love hearing the word
and worshipping the Lord even if others are still bound up with traditions thats not my walk thats theres. My focus is to do what the Lord wants me to do.There have been times i have said no to the pastor he does nt understand why i choose not to lead the worship.i query him as well regarding the idea that its not just performing a function
because there is a need our hearts have to be in the right place so that the Lord can use us but he did nt understand where i was coming from
and thats okay
because of that i just said no until my heart is right i am better not being involved in leading. But i am happy to be an encouragement to others in the worship team i havent wanted to be the leader i have done that in the past.So my focus has been just the singing
and being part of different worship teams i think the Lord has other plans as the groups i am in seem to be changing at the same time i am aware that i do nt to worry about change as the Lord knows whats best.I used to be quite comfortable leading the music but that was before when i was operating in my own self confidence
and pride. The Lord did such a huge change in my life that i lost my self confidence
and that is not a bad thing at all as my spiritual growth has been incredible. The big change was my identity moved from me
and what i could do to knowing who i was in Christ
and that he is my strength
and confidence. Now i know that without him i can do nothing in fact i am dependent on his empowerment through his holy spirit all the time in everything. In the weekend i was asked to lead the music at another church i attend multiple churchs although i attend two regularly one has services in the morning
and one has services in the evening so the two do nt really clash. In the weekend i was asked to lead the music its been two years since i did that
and i was worried on how i would go.All i can say is that it went really well
and because i stepped out in
Faith the Lord really blessed the morning to the congregation. The difference is knowing that i serve the Lord with the gifts he has given me but my heart has to be right
and when i do it in his way it builds up the body
and it brings glory to him.May the Lord continue to show you what he wants you to do even though others may not understand your
reasons i just want you to know that you do nt have to pull away completely just work within the boundarys that the Lord gives you
and do nt feel pressured by others expectations to do anything that feel uncomfortable.Be involved just as you feel lead by the holy spirit even if it is in a very minor way take small steps.regards brentnz
My answer is simply this, that it is
because at present our magnificent Christian charity lacks what it needs to make it decisively effective, the sensitizing ingredient of Human
faith and hope without which, in
reason and in fact, no religion can henceforth appear to Man other than colorless, cold
and inassimilable.
I assume that one of the
reasons why students of all

The philosophers of the «Age of
Reason» called the Middle Ages the «Age of
Faith,»
and claimed that
because «God did it!»
For example, he recounts the highly ironic request of certain rabbis in the Middle Ages that the Inquisition burn Moses Maimonides» Guide for the Perplexed
because of its unholy mixture of
faith and reason.
The relevance of this discussion of the self in the context of the problem of
faith and reason stems from the basic religious intuition that
reason is not free to know God
because of its corruption by sin
and that the seat of sin is somehow in the self.
And at least part of the
reason we get bored with our
faith is
because we don't see the miracles God performs all around us every day.
