decor, florals, and flowering plants that reflect our style in the interior and exterior of our homes.

Creating a
Fall vignette doesn't require any new purchases
when you can just revamp the
decor you already have.

FALL» in big bold letters.
When Christmas time rolls around I go all out on the

fall is much more simple.
I know I have said over and over how much I love
fall decor, but
when winter rolls around and I get to make DIY Christmas
decor... I am in heaven!

I have always stayed away from
fall decor because I think «
fall colors» are beautiful on tree leaves but they are definitely not for me
when it comes to decorating.
A little bit about how I planned the day: I will admit that I am a little bit of a crazy person
when it comes to cohesion in
decor, so
when I figured out I wanted to give the girls pink champagne bottles, everything else started to
fall into place.
So
when its 90 degrees in Oct. seems silly to put out
fall decor.
I was going to hit you with this epic post featuring my ahhhhmazing
fall decor from last year and tell you what is catching my eye this year but
when I went back in to my blog recesses and viewed the post from last year I was a little... underwhelmed.
I used to feel a bit left out
when Fall came as my
decor clashed with the bright reds and oranges, etc. but not anymore now that we have white and soft blue pumpkins.
When it came time to put the
Fall decor away, I packed those little memoirs away with it.
When I pulled out the
Fall decor this season, it was so fun reading them and very special to «feel» the presence of my grandparents from Greece here with me even though they are thousands of miles away this year.
Fresh flowers have always been my favorite way to change the feel of our home without having to switch up too much
decor, so
when I spotted these gorgeous
Fall blooms at our local market I knew they would be perfect in a wreath!
I'm serious that
when I was decorating the porch with
fall decor I was sweating so bad, I had to keep going inside for air conditioning and water breaks, but none the less I got my
fall fix this week & for those of you who want summer to stick around I'm sure you are thinking I deserved to sweat to death for welcoming

The trick is to not
fall in love with the current
decor and to actually imagine where you would put your current belongings (or the furniture you plan on buying
when you find your ideal home).
We also want you guys to chime in on your favorite

Though our house is pretty transitional in style overall, for
fall I feel like we lean a little bit more toward farmhouse - style
decor, which you'll notice

This is the time of year
when all of my blogging friends pull out their gobs and gobs of
Fall decor and start decorating like it's Christmas!
Every year
when I find him in the
fall decor boxes I stop and smile.
Traci and Mike started building their house in the
Fall of 2011, and
when it came time to start picking out interior colors, finishes, and
decor - they had to really put their heads together.
I love the heat, and feel a little bit bummed

It's taking me longer to transition my
decor scheme for
Fall than it should have; however after doing the living room and foyer remodels I have been so indecisive
when it comes to seasonal decorating.
Fall is by far my favourite however I have never decorated for the changing seasons until my eldest daughter turned 4 and really started to enjoy seeing everyones seasonal
decor when we go visit our friends and family.
And just you watch — next week I'll find white pumpkins in every grocery store — and you can be sure that
when I do, they'll fit right into my
fall decor.

Fall entertaining and
decor selection, and it really makes all the difference

When I think of
Fall I think of taking deep breaths and enjoying each moment, so that's how I approached my
decor this year.
As I mentioned in Saturday's post
when we went up to NH earlier this
fall we had a little fun adding some of our Christmas
decor to Jason's house (you can see a before and after tour of his house here).
But, I am a traditionalist
when it comes to
fall decor.
I like to do lots of greenery and garden
decor as a backdrop so you can just add some pumpkins or gourds in
fall; twinkly lights and red berries in winter; and early flowering blooms
when spring arrives.
And
when I'm in full nesting mode like I tend to be in the
Fall and winter months, I can be dangerous in a home
decor shop (or even my own home) without a few self - imposed guidelines.
Because of the raccoons, I can't have real pumpkins on the porch so I get a little excited
when I pull it out of the box and hang it up:) I, too, noticed your use of that aqua color with your
Fall decor — sweet!
Waaaayyyy back in September
