When prom - related plans fail to be anything less than perfect — the prom group
falling through, realizing your
dress is all wrong the night
before the dance, getting a date who doesn't understand what a «corsage» is — it can often seem a lot worse than it really is.
But you would have us believe that good and evil didn't exist
before the
fall and THAT reflects God's poor planning no matter how you try to
dress it up.
Late
fall can be a tricky time to get
dressed, what with snow showers
before Halloween in some parts, followed by balmy sunny days with temps in the 60s.
This season,
dresses have become a
fall wardrobe staple, and they are infinitely more wearable, comfortable and chic than ever
before.
I do tend to have seasonal go - to items that make it easy to get
dressed quickly
before work — for
fall / winter skinny pants, boots & blazers, for spring / summer
dresses, cardigans & sandals / flats.
I have one more round of
dresses to try
before picking the exact style I like but it was so convenient to try them on at home with my heels and under garments to get an idea of how each shape
fell!
I wore this

before fall decided to descend on Chicago.
Now, for the past six years, I have had seven
dresses that I always wear for formal events (black - tie, weddings): (1) a long sleeved, high - necked, knee length black lace
dress by Lover, whose darts I removed entirely so that it
falls straight from my shoulders to hips to knees in a very loose, comfortable cut (no need to pull any waists in, and I can eat as much as I like) that I made an underskirt for, so it can also be calf length (2) an ivory version of the same above, with the optional lace underskirt (3) an amazingly intricate ivory leather macrame flapper
dress uner which I wear a dark brown long, stretch singlet
dress (so comfortable again)(4) a vermillion small V - neck, long bell sleeved, straight cut, long, widens - at - the -(just above ankle) hemline
dress I sewed in the most gorgeous lace for twenty dollars (5) a burgundy lace version of the vermillion lace
dress in (4)-- for the same price (6) a knee length, Romance Was Born silk shift three sizes up so it sits away from the waist — again — its all about «a'll the better to eat dinner with, my dear», in a huge, wild sunflower graphic print
before graphic prints were trendy: it's giant sunflowers against an intense turquoise background (7) a calf length caftan cut
dress that I made from Japanese printed silk my mother had bought and kept for sixty years (it's just a giant square with a hole fro my neck and two for my arms, and has the best drape EVER owing to its being silk)
Since Texas can't decide if it's Summer or
Fall yet, I threw it over my t - shirt
dress before dinner for the cooler evening and went for an all - gray - everything look.
I never in a million years would have thought I'd be that person with two
dresses for a wedding, but about a week
before the ceremony I found this Nha Khanh
dress on Rent the Runway and
fell in love.

before they are published... 9/10 times I am wrapped in a towel with wet hair laying on my bed having the constant battle in my head of whether to write the post or pass out... clearly we see what won... writing the post haha) I LOVE color year round, so it's no surprise that for one of the freezing days at NYFW I decided to wear shades of white, blue and black (all I am missing is gold and it could potentially be #The
Dress... seriously didn't understand that whole craze for all of 24 hours haha) Anyways... Back to what I am wearing and how it can transition perfectly into the spring.

dress up, because that's what you do when you have a bunch of clothes, of course, you make outfits and take notes for future reference, so one day I realized I didn't have the perfect earrings, so I borrowed a pair from my sister, and I've never worn feather earrings
before, let alone neon orange ones, and I
fell in love.

dress at one of the local thrift stores and I couldn't resist the watermelon - like color palate I am trying to get all my very summer clothes worn

Fall is finally in full swing in Boston and, surprisingly, I've been enjoying the crisp air and routine of bundling up
before I leave my apartment.
Even though I'm craving my
fall clothes, I decided to get one last wear out of this
dress and cardigan
before I pack it up until spring.
This was my first ever purchase off the internet I

dress the moment I saw it and I've got to say it is perfect... it's a perfect fit... I have long arms and always have trouble getting clothes to fit on the arm's but this
dress fitted perfect... the
dress arrived well
before the delivery date (2 weeks one day)... There is loads more I could say about this
dress but I'd be here all night so I'm just gonna say it's even more beautiful than the picture lovely and soft, great craftmanship, I'm amazed at the quality of the
dress,,,,, I am one happy bride to be Thank you very much dresswe for making my dream come true in this
