While I'm not doing a Broadway boondoggle this
fall, the hubby and kids do what we can to take in the ample arts and events in Austin — last week we sat in jaw - dropped amazement at Kooza by Cirque de Soleil and tonight the
family is just taking it easy with a
movie at home.
We recently hosted an outdoor
movie night with our neighbors and I think that might be a new favorite
fall tradition for our
family
For my oldest we do books,
family chat time, and
movie in bed together until he
falls asleep.

Regardless of which side of the debate you
fall on, it is amply obvious (at least in this
movie) that Ouija is not the kind of board game you want to pull out of the closet for
family game night.
Movie fans trekking to Telluride, Colo., for the resort town's annual film festival this weekend are set to see some of the
fall's most anticipated performances, including Bill Murray as FDR in «Hyde Park on Hudson,» Michael Shannon as
family man and freelance assassin in «The Iceman,» and Ben Affleck as a CIA agent in «Argo.»

family of bargain - seeking home buyers (that house's market value must have
fallen over the years, right?)
Over the course of the
movie, which is around a semester, Jojo deals with being in love with Bill versus being afraid of commitment, Daisy
falls for a little rich boy and has to deal with the idea that he might actually like her, not just be using her to shock his
family.
The
movie, the first feature - length project from writer / director Pearce, centers on a small island community where a troubled young woman
falls for a mysterious outsider who empowers her to escape from her oppressive
family.
The rest of the
movie is an attempt by Eleanor — and her
family, friends, and husband Conor (James McAvoy)-- to figure out what happens after she survives her
fall.

It's a «midcentury white
family falling apart»
movie, which, given the talent involved, seems destined for award - bait conversations.
He's the only thing that keeps the
movie afloat, because although the first half builds some nice tension as David infiltrates the Peterson's
family dynamic, all of that hard work is wasted in the final act when it devolves into a silly B -
movie that favors violence over subtlety,
falling victim to the typical slasher film conventions with some incredibly strange and odd - placed moments of humor.

In the end, all of the advice I received
fell into the same growing theme: it does not matter what it is that provides you with the necessary balance between your work and your social life, what is most important is that you take the time to for activities outside of the work place, and activities that you really enjoy, whether it be catching up with the newest best - selling novel, joining a sports league, dance class, wine - tasting club, spending time playing board games or watching a
movie with your
family.
In addition to the pool, the
family will enjoy outdoor
movie nights, a
fall festival, and other activities.
Fall means cozy meals, entertaining and evenings in front of the fireplace, reading, watching
movies and THIS year... Organizing
family photos to create a gallery wall in our entry and living room!
There are blankets and then there are blankets (like the one that everyone in the
family fights over when it's time to curl up with a
movie on a crisp
fall evening).
Fall definitely seems to bring my
family closer with all the fabulous soup sharing, snuggled up
movie nights and BAKING!
