of Jurassic

Fallen Kingdom at this point, including how it builds off
of the events
of all the previous Jurassic films or what its standalone

It's hard to say if there's actually a decent

World's End and Transformers: Revenge

With the characteristic irony
of stories about such themes, it's the relatively good man who is made to experience his
world falling apart, when the more profoundly corrupt survive, protected by the degree
of their complicity with the status quo.

Davies» films have always supplied strong female roles (think Gena Rowlands in «The Neon Bible,» Gillian Anderson in «The House
of Mirth» and Rachel Weisz in «The Deep Blue Sea») and this
story, which followed an ordinary farm girl in the 1910s with a dream
of being a teacher, who begins to assert her independence in the face
of cruelties dealt by people ranging from her abusive father (Peter Mullan) to the initially sweet young man (Kevin Guthrie) who
falls in love with her marries her, only to come back from the horrors
of World War I irrevocably changed.
Sensibly entrusting the script

story soars throughout, avoiding
falling into saccharine territory and deals with post-traumatic stress disorder, the loss
of innocence and the re-awakening
of one self to the wonders
of the
world with such delicate grace and honesty that it touches the heartstrings in the most profound ways.
Where Doctor Strange

Lynch is pretty good at this kind

Craig Gillespie's rollicking retelling

story of a deeply troubled athlete fighting for her place in the
world.
