Family Matters is the third
touring exhibition to be mounted under the banner of the «Great British Art Debate», a four - year partnership between civic art
galleries in Norwich, Sheffield, Newcastle and Tate Britain in London.
Beginning in 2008, Simpson's work, Wigs (Portfolio), was included in the exhibition, «30 Americans,» which has
toured eleven locations to date, including the Rubell
Family Collection, Miami, North Carolina Museum of Art, Corcoran
Gallery of Art, Chrysler Museum of Art, Milwaukee Art Museum, Frist Center for the Visual Arts, Contemporary Arts Center (New Orleans), Arkansas Arts Center, Detroit Institute of Arts, Cincinnati Art Museum, and Tacoma Art Museum.
The
gallery - teaching programe Kunsthalle KIDS, aimed at
families and schools, will continue its work with the young viewer; and again there will be guided
tours to the exhibitions and the Child Curator programe, as well as education for adults in the Experiment Art cycle.
